Der Strand von Hörnum auf Sylt.
Hörnum, on the island of Sylt. Sylt is one of the north Frisian islands in the North Sea, near the Danish boarder. It is connected to the mainland by a man-made dam and can be reached by rail. On this occasion I spent 70 Euros (approx. AUS$ 120) to take my car across by train as there was a surf competition on. Hörnum is located on the southern part of the island. Sylt is very touristy, and should you wish to wander along the Esplanade in Westerland, you will have to pay 3 Euros, unless you have obtained a visitor pass which I presume is not free either.
